Sheva: Non gioco e non so perché.
[Sport.Kataweb.it] Il calciomercato italiano (la prima parte) è chiuso, ma il tempo per fare aggiustamenti, come si sa, è praticamente infinito e così, in ottica gennaio, il Milan riapre una finestra sull'antico amore di Berlusconi, Andriy Shevchenko. Lo fa approfittando del fatto che lui non gioca. Il bomber ucraino è ancora in attesa dell'esordio stagionale col Chelsea e dice risentito di non sapere perché il tecnico Mourinho non lo faccia giocare. Secondo i medici non sarebbe ancora al meglio, ma lui contesta: «Al Chelsea non gioco e sinceramente non so perché, aspetterò comunque il mio turno». La ragione? I medici del club londinese sostengono che il bomber ucraino sarebbe ancora condizionato dall'ultimo infortunio non del tutto smaltito. Ma lui non ci sta, anche perché due settimane fa è rimasto in campo quasi un'ora nell'amichevole che la sua Ucraina ha disputato contro l'Uzbekistan. Sheva sperava di essere convocato già per la finale di Coppa di Lega, a metà agosto contro il Manchester United. Ma Mourinho non lo mise in campo, come per le partite successive, preferendogli il nuovo acquisto Claudio Pizarro . «Deve aspettare la sua chance quando si presenterà», gli ha risposto Steve Clarke, assitente di Mourinho. Dura da mandar giù, per uno come lui.

SHEVCHENKO AWAITS CHANCE
06/09/07 - Chelsea have indicated that Andriy Shevchenko lies fourth in their striking pecking order. Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Claudio Pizarro have priority over the Ukraine forward.
Steve Clarke, the Chelsea assistant manager, said Shevchenko must work hard to win back his first-team place. “The players need to be patient, they need to work hard in training and their opportunity will come,” he said. “When the opportunity comes around, they must take it, otherwise they will not merit their place in the starting XI.”
The £31 million that Chelsea paid AC Milan for Shevchenko appears not to have been justified after a return of 14 goals in 51 appearances since he joined in 2006. Clarke believes the Ukraine striker’s next chance will be in the Carling Cup third-round match that takes place towards the end of September. “September is a busy month, so rotation will occur,” he said.
For many Barclays Premier League clubs, the Carling Cup is an opportunity to experiment with young, upcoming players; however, for Shevchenko to be brushing shoulders with Chelsea’s under19 players shows how far he has fallen in the estimation of José Mourinho, the manager. Dynamo Kiev were interested in signing Shevchenko, their former player, on loan but Clarke dismissed the possibility of the player leaving.

CHELSEA, SHEVA E' UN CASO
L'attaccante è stato convocato per le due partite della nazionale ucraina contro Georgia e Italia, ma nei piani di Mourinho ancora non trova spazio. E l'ex milanista si spazientisce: "Non capisco questa situazione"
LONDRA (Inghilterra), 6 settembre 2007 - Andry Shevchenko è uno dei misteri meglio conservati di José Mourinho, nel senso che l’attaccante continua a non giocare con il Chelsea e non sa nemmeno il perché. E’ stato lo stesso ucraino a raccontare la penosa e difficile situazione che sta vivendo a Londra, complice il viaggio a casa per le due sfide di qualificazione ad Euro 2008 contro Georgia ed Italia.
NAZIONALE - "Al Chelsea non sto giocando per nulla – ha spiegato Sheva alla stampa locale – e non so il motivo. Non ho davvero capito perché ci sia questa situazione e sto ancora aspettando la mia chance". Ufficialmente, almeno a sentire Mourinho, l’ex milanista non sarebbe ancora completamente recuperato dal un fastidioso infortunio alla schiena, ma la sua presenza nell’amichevole fra Ucraina ed Uzbekistan del 22 agosto scorso, quando giocò 55 minuti, sembra palesemente contraddire la tesi del tecnico portoghese. Non bastasse, Sheva è pure annunciato fra i titolari nella sfida contro la Georgia di sabato.
TRE PARTITE - Eppure, Mourinho continua a non convocarlo per le partite di campionato e per gli impegni ufficiali: l’attaccante ha finora, infatti, disputato tre gare durante la tournée negli Usa e le due amichevoli contro Feyenoord e Rangers, ma è stato lasciato a casa per la sfida di fine preparazione contro il Broendby in Danimarca e, benchè si aspettasse di giocare in Community Shield contro il Manchester United il 5 agosto scorso, anche in quella occasione è rimasto ancora una volta a fare da spettatore. All’epoca, il suo procuratore, Fabio Parisi, minimizzò l’esclusione, accogliendo la motivazione del tecnico: "Sheva deve recuperare gradualmente – aveva detto l’agente italiano – e Mourinho non vuole fargli correre rischi inutili".
PRESSIONI - Ma il perservare dell’ostracismo da parte del portoghese sembra ora preoccupare il bomber dei Blues, acquistato personalmente da Roman Abramovich l’estate scorsa per 30 milioni di sterline (45 milioni di euro) ma mai davvero apprezzato da Mourinho che, anzi, non gli ha mai risparmiato critiche e sberleffi. "Deve aspettare la sua chance e afferrarla quando gli capiterà – ha detto l’assistente di Mourinho, Steve Clarke – perché ci sono altri tre attaccanti bravi come lui". Ma la recente sconfitta del Chelsea e, soprattutto, le critiche al non-gioco della squadra espresse dal tycoon russo potrebbero obbligare il portoghese a schierare Shevchenko già nella prossima gara interna a Stamford Bridge, contro il Blackburn.

SHEVCHENKO SPEAKS OUT!
Despite being our record signing, Andri Shevchenko, after an indifferent first season, finds himself somewhat isolated from the first team.
Chelsea, despite turning down an offer from Dynamo Kiev to take him on loan and also resisting attempts by his former club AC Milan to buy him back, have not featured Shevchenko in their starting eleven this season, indeed he`s not even made the bench.
Still confusion exists to his actual physical status. A source from within Chelsea has stated that he`s not considered fit enough for selection but in stark contrast, his appearance for the Ukraine recently would seem to contradict that.
In an interview recently, Shevchenko had this to say, "I don`t understand why Mourinho isn`t playing me - I don`t understand it. But I`m not worried. I will just wait for my chance to come."
Hopefully, the situation will be sorted soon and the fans will be free to welcome back the striker who managed fourteen goals last season before succumbing to an injury that required a hernia operation.

MOURINHO WARNS BLUES DUO
9th September 2007 - Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has told Andrei Shevchenko and Michael Ballack to make sure they put the team's interests first.
The future of both players is still uncertain with neither particularly shining in the Premier League so far. And Mourinho has warned the pair to start performing or risk being left out of the squad.
"Shevchenko and Ballack have to give more because their status is not superior to that of the others," Mourinho told The Sun. "Each is a champion," he added. "They have quality, status and fame. They're rich and have already won a lot of trophies. All that is an undeniable fact. But it's one thing their being the centre surrounded by 20 nobodies, and it's something else these two players arriving at a club where the others are already champions, famous and rich."
Mourinho insists everyone at the club is equal in their abilities and their quality and that no player should receive star treatment. "We were prepared to receive players such as Shevchenko or Ballack because they are of the same dimension as those already playing at Chelsea," said Mourinho. Lampard, Terry, Drogba are equal to these two," he added. "But you can't build anything if you have to have someone special at its centre. When you have a group, everyone has to be equal to achieve the end we all want."
