Milan in £15M bid for Sheva.
[DalilyExpress.co.uk] AC Milan are waiting for the green light from Roman Abramovich in order to buy back Andriy Shevchenko for £15million. They want to take the unsettled striker back to the San Siro, but Abramovich himself must decide if he will be sold. Sporting director Adriano Galliani contacted the Blues at the end of last week to lodge his club’s official interest. But he was told billionaire owner Abramovich would be the only person to decide whether the Ukrainian would be allowed to leave. Shevchenko eventually arrived at Stamford Bridge last year for £30m because he is a personal friend of Abramovich. But he struggled to settle and clashed with manager Jose Mourinho, who was disappointed with his commitment, fitness and attitude. Shevchenko was at the core of the tense bust-up between Mourinho and Abramovich. Mourinho would be more than happy to wave goodbye to Shevchenko, but his future is in the hands of Abramovich. Shevchenko is also desperate to return to Italy, but part of the problem is that Milan have not yet offered enough. They want Chelsea to take a £15m loss, which Abramovich is reluctant to do.

Shevchenko, 30, endured a miserable first year in London with Chelsea when he failed to win a regular first team place because of a lack of form and injuries. That has led to AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani making enquiries about him - just 12 months after they sold him for £30.9m. Galliani has been in touch with Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon and now Abramovich will decide on Shevchenko's future. The Ukraine striker has insisted publicly he wants to stay at Chelsea and Abramovich would still like him to be a success at Stamford Bridge rather than be written off as an expensive mistake. But the Russian billionaire will talk to Shevchenko to find out whether he wants to stay at Chelsea or go back to AC Milan. It is believed that if the player is desperate to leave then Abramovich will let him go - even though they will take a huge loss on the price they paid last summer. But Shevchenko, along with Michael Ballack, is Chelsea's top earner on £130,000 a week and has struggled to fit into the team and the dressing room and boss Jose Mourinho was not happy with his displays last season.

Se davvero vuole lasciare l'Inghilterra e tornare in Italia, dove il Milan (soprattutto Berlusconi) è pronto a riaprirgli le porte (ma non tutti nel clan rossonero farebbero salti di gioia alla notizia), Andriy Shevchenko dovrà chiedere a Roman Abramovich di lasciarlo partire e di non esagerare con le richieste.
Secondo la stampa inglese la prossima settimana è in programma un incontro tra il patron del Chelsea e l'attaccante ucraino per verificare la possibilità di una permanenza del giocatore a Londra o, al contrario, quella della sua cessione al Milan. Per il 'Daily Express', infatti, i rossoneri sono tornati all'attacco per riportare Shevchenko a Milano, a solo un anno di distanza dalla sua cessione al Chelsea.
L'amministratore delegato del Milan, Adriano Galliani, avrebbe contattato i 'blues' offrendo 15 milioni di sterline (circa 23 milioni di euro). Secondo il tabloid 'The Mirror', l'ultima parola però, spetta appunto ad Abramovich, che aveva voluto Sheva a tutti i costi e lo aveva portato allo Stamford Bridge per oltre 40 milioni di euro. L'impatto con la Premier League da parte dell'ucraino però, non è stato dei migliori, così come l'ambientamento nello spogliatoio del Chelsea e il rapporto con il tecnico Josè Mourinho.
Ora Abramovich intende verificare la volontà di Shevchenko, che ha più volte ribadito di voler rimanere a Londra per dimostrare tutto il suo valore.

OFFERTE, 15 luglio 2007 - I giornali di Londra scrivevano ieri che il futuro di Shevchenko è rossonero: il Milan avrebbe offerto 15 milioni di sterline (23 milioni di euro) per riprenderselo. Ma se il Milan ha scelto Pato, non può puntare su Shevchenko: la normativa prevede che si possa acquistare dall’estero un solo giocatore extracomunitario, anche se se ne cedono (o naturalizzano) più di uno. Quindi, Sheva è bloccato. Sempre che il Milan non debba rinunciare a Pato, o che non decida di acquistarlo per la prossima stagione. In ogni caso, domani Sheva parlerà con Abramovich. E la questione si chiarirà.
