Shev off for £12m.
[NewsOfTheWorld.co.uk] Chelsea will sell Andriy Shevchenko next month. His exit will leave the Blues with an £18million loss in just 18 months. Boss Avram Grant is willing to let Roman Abramovich's favourite player quit Stamford Bridge for a mere £12m. The club signed him for £30m in May 2006. Shevchenko looks sure to return to Italy, most likely with Inter Milan. Juventus are also monitoring the situation. Grant has made it clear the Ukrainian star will never be first choice under him and Abramovich has now given his permission for the striker to be sold once the transfer window opens. Ironically, it was Jose Mourinho's refusal to guarantee Shev a starting place which sealed the ex-manager's fate. But Abramovich has been forced to admit the player has become a very expensive spare part in the squad. Shevchenko would take a pay cut on his £140,000-a-week wages to help secure a move back to Serie A.

Il Chelsea ha deciso di vendere Andriy Shevchenko a gennaio per 12 milioni di sterline (16,8 milioni di euro). Lo rivela il “News of the World”, spiegando che è stato lo stesso Roman Abramovich a dare il “foglio di via” all’ucraino, dopo che il boss Avram Grant gli ha detto chiaro e tondo che lui di Sheva non sa che farsene. Ironia della sorte, proprio l’attaccante fu uno dei motivi di attrito che portarono alla cacciata di Mourinho (il tecnico voleva venderlo, ma il tycoon russo si era sempre opposto). Pagato 30 milioni di sterline (42 milioni di euro) appena 18 mesi fa, il giocatore farà perdere ai Blues 18 milioni secchi (25 milioni di euro), ma stante la situazione (Sheva non gioca praticamente mai), tenerlo fino alla fine della stagione non avrebbe senso. Stando al tabloid, l’ucraino, che sarebbe pronto ad accettare una decurtazione dello stipendio (guadagna 140.000 sterline – 196.000 euro a settimana) pur di andarsene da Londra, interessa moltissimo a Inter e Juventus, anche se l’ipotesi Milan sembra la più praticabile, vista la situazione attaccanti in casa rossonera.
